Setting up AIM MXL Pista dash to work with AEM EMS

Excellent and thorough information about overcoming the setup requirements to connect the AIM dash unit to AEM EMS. Only disappointment is that one cannot continue to log the EMS data directly while transmitting to the AIM dash unit, but must now rely on the AIM datalog information to make...

The story of my Supra....My 2JZA70 supra!

For these generators to be effective, then they must be directly in the flow stream. At speeds, the flow stream will begin to separate from the A70's body immediately where those generators are located, thus essentially deeming them ineffective. - I any at all.

    All carbo supra, SAY WHAT!

You can see the complete transformation in this thread. FULL CARBON SUPRA The craftsmanship is beyond explanation, but that's just my opinion. The $$ investment level is probably just as astronomical to be equitable with the craftsmanship.

    1987 MK3 Resto

Seems like you've got the means to properly evaluate the car and remedy the obvious mechanical maladies. I think it's best to just yank the engine, remove oil pan to inspect and R&R the bearing, then replace every gasket. Also, clean engine bay. Since the engine is out, then you can easily...

Walbro pump, which part no. for JZA70?

The 341 hp (high pressure) have traditionally been the preferred version for our application.

    ABS Delete

Any damn decent lawyer will realize some degree of windfall if unfortunately you had an accident with one of their clients and they then discover that you removed a safety devise from the vehicle. Weight the risk, evaluate the importance to delete, then decide..... Got much assets???

    ABS Delete

What sound reasoning do you have wanting to remove it? You may consider it to be reasonably early ABS technology, but it's still (1) functional, it'll (2) outperform your braking capability. And (3) if you're in an accident after removal, then any small time lawyer will have a field day with...

    Starting build #2 , I WANT 500 RWHP...

Your ambitions deserve a renaissance. Time to truly rethink the traditional piggyback system, and consider a standalone that will in almost all instance give you that "piece of mind". I know I have. Some will argue that you don't need one, but I'm old enough to remember computing technology...

Looks like you've got a hold of a TechTom ECU. Once upon a time, this upgrade was the path to "serious" hp.

Toyota HG design and power capability?

^^^^ Short of going full standalone EMS, I would suggest water / meth injection.. Just have to realize that the 7M's ecu is 1980's computing technology, and it just can't do much with the limited memory and processing speed required for engine performance beyond stock HP. Hence why it's so...

    New England caravan to Englishtown

Wasn't there a rendezvous point at a McDonald's at exit 25 or 26 off I-95 last year? Is the plan to head straight to Etown, or also layover at the other McDonalds in the Bronx as was done previously? Seems like I'm a go, so just trying to clear up the plans...

Rich's Garage. Other work being done

The OEM version exhibits this problem also. An old school engine builder mentioned to me to minimize the bypass just put a small film of high performance silicone sealant on the OD of the seal, and some lithium grease on the shaft prior to install. Haven't tried this yet, so I can't quantify...
