+ 1 for albert, sumeet, and rock auto.
on a related note. my block and crank are done and i need to order bearings. the crank was turned down and i need .25 over bearings.
my builder says go with clevite 77's. i just wanted to get some input from you guys.
i saw some titan bearings that had a...
no prob. right now i'm still deciding on the head. i don't think anything special is needed at that power level. i wouldn't mind bc 264's and some porting, but i've been told it's not necessary.
i went with a 60-1 ct26 i'm shooting for 400 wheel in a balanced street car. i went with that turbo also because i had a bic ddp, and aftermarket intercooler pipes.
my upgrade path is colse to yours....

i just dropped off my block, pistons and crank at the machine shop. i'm having the block bored, honed and decked. and the crank polished or turned. the labor was $600.
that doesn't include having the head decked.
dropped off the motor, crank and pistons off at the machine shop. now trying to decide between h beam eagles, or i beam crowers.
i also ordered my titan headgasket, and some material to make a cold air intake and aluminum catback. :)
one of alberts 60-1's. we were tuning at 11psi. any higher and the lean condition starts earlier. i'll see if i can get him to download the map.
the mods are.... 60-1 turbo, 630cc fic injectors, bic ddp, full 3" exhaust, 255 walbro, k&n filter.
from everything the tuner has said, we're running out of fuel. the stock coils should be good at this power level. we're going to see how many volts are actually getting to the pump when the motor goes back in.
i also wanted to add..... the rich/stumbling condition seems to be intermittent. we had it tuned out while road tuning, only to come back on my drive home.
should i be looking at old/worn factory wires?
hey all. i recently had my aem ems installed and started doing some tuning.
when we started i was running fic 630cc injectors and the stock fuel pump.
we ran into some stumbling around 2500, and it leaned right out at 5k. at higher boost levels it leaned out earlier, about 4500.
we tried...
cool. i'd like to use the probes, and stock rods. is there anything i should do to the rods besides getting arp's? what about the main caps, should i get arp's for them too?
also, the crank has some marks from a previous rod bearing failure....... will it be ok to have it turned down?
lastly...
ok, so it looks like the motor i threw together last year didn't hold up. i'm looking for suggestions on how to proceed.....
i have 2 complete motors, and a spare shortblock that needs to me bored out. i also have a set of new 20 over probe forged pistons. to add to that, i have about $1500...
i pulled apart the "original" motor that was in my car. looks like one journal on the crank is scored and the rod bearings are totally shot on that one rod. the head looks good though. i'm going to try and make one good motor out of the three i have here. :/
did a compression check on my motor..............not good..... 110, 100, 30, 110, 110, 90. looks liek it's broke. :(
i also looked down the holes with a boroscope.... 3 of the pistons are noticeably cleaner than the other 3. this might be a result of the way the car was running. seems like...
