this question is for those running a cop setup on their 7m.
how do you get the tach to work after the swap?
should i buy an msd adapter, or is there another way?
btw, i'm running subaru sti coils...... and, yes they work. lol
whatever is causing the problem, this fucking bosh starter i bought is worse than the cheap autozone one i had before. it almost left me stranded 3 times today. wtf!!!
i agree with you on that point. my question is WHY they are going bad so frequently. a attribute it to th excess heat under the hood. although i am open to any other ideas.
i'm on my 3rd aftermarket starter in a year. this time i went with a bosh. same shit after 3 weeks though. i firmly believe it has something to do with the extreme underhood temps. the car will start 75% of the time, but when it doesn't there's no click or anything. if i tap the starter with...
well, i took it out for a drive just now. it's great at part throttle. as i floor it the gauge goes lean then rich as hell. it's weird.
i put in the newer pump, new clamps, and pushed in the little tab on top of the pump. i'm going to have my tuner drive with me and see what the computer says...
i'm going to record the fuel gauge today and see what it's doing. do you guys really think that i'm out flowing the 255? i was under the impression that they were good for over 500 wheel.
could my 60-1 be flowing so much air under boost that i need a bigger pump?
hey all. i just installed an afpr, and i feel A LOT of pulsation in the braided line. the question is...... has anyone had the stock pulsation dampener go bad?
or is this normal with the afpr installed?
thanks all
at this point, i have NO idea what the problem is.
i tried an afpr yesterday, and it's the same. i set it to 40psi unplugged, then today it was up to 43. it also bleeds down overnight.
the car idles great, and at part throttle the afr's are in the 11's..... as soon as i floor it the afr's go...
the duty cycle is 32% at 3,000 rpm and 90%+ at 5,000 rpm.
i just hooked up the fpr and gauge today. i'll see what it reads tomorrow on a test drive.
it really seems like the pump is crapping out. i tried 2 different ones, and find it hard to believe that they are both bad.
i was going to buy...
ok fellas. i tried the afpr and the car still gets super lean up top. so far i have tried 2 walbro 255's, a new filter, the fuel pump relay mod, and the afpr. i have it set to 40psi with the line off.
my tuner has tried everything with the aem, but we can't get this figured out. i would think...
