Nice numbers.. Its hard to judge a dyno with an automatic, but the peak is impressive for only 22psi. I bet it would be around 530rwhp with a manual trans. What is the turbine A/R on your T61?
Two big turbos that I have been impressed with are the BL67DBB .68A/R and the GT4067DBB (not sure the A/R). I have seen both turbos put down mid 600rwhp on a MK4 with stock cams, and the hp curve showed very early spool.

Nice numbers for only 17psi. Definantly making more than me at that boost. However, I agree with the Dr, the curve looks very laggy. But who cares, as long as it feels responsive enough for you on the street.
Smiley from Florida posted his 1JZ dyno chart on SF a while back. I beleive it was 980ish rwhp. The dyno gragh looked like a long road with a cliff at the end.
"MrSupra: Looking forward to following your progress with 650 in a build thread maybe?"
Yeah, its just a matter of time and money and money. I'm thinking about tracking down a J-spec 7M and then sending to a very good shop in baltimore to rebuild it with eagle rods and J/E pistons. I will...
Yes. And I see a lot of people with 7M's do unnecessary mods that just add more expense. X-Man did 639rwhp on a stock long block 7M with a little 67mm. Will Neeley did 733rwhp on a T66 and NOS on the stock intake manifold but with head work. Its seems that a lot of the guys who were really...
"There just seems to be a mind set that because a 2JZ with a few bolton's can make 800 on a stock block a 500+ 7M should be "easy""
And I would love to see these 2J's with a few bolt-ons make 800hp. Thats about the biggest misconseption there is in supraland.
All you guys switching to a 1JZ for great reliability are going to be in for an unpleasant surprise. From what I have seen, two comman flaws on the 1JZ'z are leaking stock fuel injectors and a crank pulley that breaks off. Both happened to my freind's 55k mile 1JZ engine. Yeah, its no big deal...
I have never had issues with my stock igntion system up to 25psi. I use Auto lite plugs gapped at .028 along with new stock ignition wires. I did have some breakup at high boost when my plug wires got old.
If I had to guess your problem, I would say it is your methonal injection blowing out...
Thanks.. Its a very basic setup. And I'm actually a little low on compressin in my #4 cylinder. I bet if I had a very healthy engine and went with a 1.4mm headgasket instead of a 2.0mm, I would probably be around 525-540rwhp.
Yup, thats the typical SP61 that sound-performance would sell. SP rates them at a max of 650rwhp. I have the SP59GT which uses the same 61mm compressor wheel but with a turbine wheel thats slightly smaller than the P trim.
Anyone have a 7M-GTE in the MD area that they want to sell. I'm not really looking for something in great condition, since I'm going to rebuild it with forged internals.
"but its not enough to make a 3800lb car "Fast"... especially when you consider that STOCK STi's and Evos can run door-to-door w/ a 400rwhp mk3."
A stock evo can run with a 400rwhp supra??????????? Since when? I go to the track all the time and see countless EVO's and STI's running mid 13's...
I would be interested, but I don't understand why only 3 pulls would be available if its only 10 people. $50 is great, but I would pay a little more for a few more pulls. Also, do they do air/fuel monitoring too?
Nice setup!! I'm not sure what the HPF fuel system consists of, but I would recommend 680cc injectors along with a walbro fuel pump for now. A nice setup like this deserves something better than the Lexus AFM. I would go with the MAFT-pro. And don't forget to purchase a wideband to monitor your...
I hear lot of people talking about traction issues. One thing that you realize after driveing a 400+rwhp car for a while is that traction changes drasticly with temperature. Under 50 degrees, my car is useless in 1st and 2nd, and not even fun. But above say 75 degrees, second gear will actually...
