The stock manifold has been proven to flow very well. Will Neely made 684rwhp (all boost) on a T66 with it. The 3 main advantages of a FF manifold are: Less heat soak on the piping, improved throttle response(shorter piping), and a cleaner look to the engine bay. But for all out power, I don't...
Not much. Tell him that most new V6 family sedans can keep up with his little WRX. All you need is 12 pounds of boost along with your mods. And of coarse a healthy engine.
Best kills: BPU MK4 supra 60-110mph, BMW M3 froma stop light.
Losses: BPU 04 cobra(my intercooler pipe blew off as I was slowly pulling him)
T88 MK4 supra (60-100mph, didn't pull on me as bad as I thought)
You can buy the Odyssey light weight battery at www.batterymart.com for about $100.
I have emmisions around my area too. But the main cat is such a restriction that I run a test pipe until the emmisions test is due, then I temperarly put the cat back in. The power and response you get from...
Reign Maker, I would not go so big with the fuel injectors until you need them. Big injectors are just going to make tuning that much harder. By the time your goals reach over 700rwhp, you will be so deep in money from all the headwork/cams/clutches, that fuel injectors would be such a minor...
I'm always looking to lose weight in my supra. But losing weight without compromise and not spending tons of money can be hard. Heres what I have done: Removed the 48 pound spare tire (make sure you have good tires). Removed the heavy stock turbo elbow and precat with a BIC downpipe. Remove the...
Your old HKS mani and my SP59GT is finally going to get installed within a couple of weeks.
Good luck with the high boost, I can't wait to see what it does considering how much power its making at only 15psi.
Looks like the full SP61, not the bolt-on correct? What kind of ex manifold are you running now, since I have your old HKS?
Nice numbers for only 15psi. Get some race gas in there and that SP61 will really wake up at high boost.
I the price is cheap and you want big power than it may be a good buy. A PT or SP67 turbo (which is about the same size)would be a better choice because of the newer wheel design and a little better spool-up. Both turbos will max out at a little over 700rwhp. I have heard many people swapping...
"why isn't it fair? yes, it's value priced. does it spool well? no. does it make good power? i guess...depends on your definition. the problem (as always) is there's no REAL information out there on it, people just say "oh it spools great". no dyno sheets, etc. to back up any such claims....just...
Looks like I will be sticking with my trusty Lex AFM for a little while longer until the MAFT becomes a little more user friendly. Hey Malloy, I'm confident that you will bust out 500+rwhp once you get the bugs worked out of the MAFT.
Drive the car yourself and see where you get full boost. Your mechanic sounds like he doesn't have much experience with imports. In higher gears, you should get 10psi well before 4k rpm with that size turbo.
Rakkasan, I have been wondering the same thing. With so many bolt-on turbos now, it would make sense to me to make a low cost upgraded exhaust manifold that would bolt-on to Ct-26 flanged turbos.
