"i'd have to agree with Fluby on the streetability of a 1000hp supra i mean it doesn't make power until 4-5K so keep it below that and yur good
BTW just cause it makes 1000HP on a dyno doesn't mean they cant turn a knob and DD with only 600hp its called a boost controller"
Well that...
Hey Mike, what piston rings are you using? I have a freind that was using Ross piston rings and his engine was burning oil for a long time. I beleive he told me that he called Ross and they said the piston rings take thousands of miles before they fully seal. Either way, I wouldn't worry about...
SP59GT (61mm turbo) .68 A/R turbine.
HKS manifold and wastegate, 3'' custom downpipe.(soon to be for sale).
511rwhp at 25psi with low compression on #4 cylinder.
i cant claim shit...
"Exactly. Go out and build your car how you want it, that way you can get outta the passengers seat and stop living your dreams through others. Nice photoshop job on your rims btw..."
Ouchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. :biglaugh:

I'm running the HPF bronse clutch. My last time out at the track, the disc welded its self to the aluminuym flywheel during a burnout. The flywheel friction area was very scored and I had HPF redo the disc for $125. I am now using the stock flywheel with the same clutch so hopefully that doesn't...
Bringing this back up since its a good topic anyway. Has anyone heard of this company? Looks like they can increase the rev limit, timing, and air/fuel with this "chip". And the price isn't too outragous.

I would not bother changing the headgasket if its not blown. ITs too much work, or too much money. With ARP studs, the felpro might hold up longer than you think.
Yes, very unwise on pump gas to run 500rwhp with the stock ECU. But on race gas(good race gas), a lot of safety margin is given to compensate for the potentially high timing.
MalloyNX said he was seeing around 20 degrees advance while boosting 23psi. Thats a lot more conservative than I thought it would be. Of course he is still using 550cc injectors.
Theres a local guy here in MD that was making 775rwhp and running high 9's at 145mph using the stock ECU and piggy-backs with an increased rev limit. This is an MK4 supra so its not exactly comparing apples too apples. But the stock ECU got the job done (with lots of C16) and allowed the 74mm...
I'm no expert, but 20 degrees sounds very good. I thought it might be running 30 degrees advance. I guess with the 550cc injectors, theres not much AFM signal being removed.
Good luck with the boost spike. Internal wastegate and manual boost controller could both cause problems.
Yeah, the map-ecu can be had for very cheap now. But I can only think of one 7M owner who has used it succesfully and he blew his engine.
The MAFT-PRO seems to have much better support and the new timing fuctions. But I've heard some other guys with different cars had it and got rid of it...
