    Sounds like what everyone else is saying and what happened to me. My HPF bronze clutch welded its self to my aluminum flywheel. It also happened when I was doing a 2nd gear burnout (just like you).

    Street/Strip Cam

    A lot of MK4 guys use 264 cams. From the dyno charts I've seen, they can get you a good 50rwhp when used at high boost with a decent sized turbo. The nice thing about the 264's is that there is no real sacirifice in the power under the curve.

    I make over 400rwhp on pump gas and over 500rwhp on race gas. Been running like this for about 2 years on stock internals. I would go with the eagle rods although someone mentioned them having standard rodbolts that are a little too small.

    Spec Clutches

    Me and Dr Jones have both fried our Spec clutches. Mine was a stage 2 and his a stage 3. Mine ran great at the track with mid 400rwhp and hard launches. But one little split second mis-shift burned it up for good. The Spec held great on the street, but I'm not sure if its up to dragracing abuse.

    I run the Lex, 550's, and FCD. I have run up to 25psi easily, and 29psi accidentally. With just the Lex and 550's, I would hit fuel cut at around 19psi. Whatever you decide to do, make sure you MONITOR YOUR AIR/FUEL RATIOS.

    Judging by your 1/4 mile trap speed, I bet you are closer to 400rwhp on a U.S dyno. 20psi on a T70 should be getting you at least 450-500rwhp. The 3mm headgasket is costing you power for sure. With race gas, you should be able to crank the boost up to 25psi on a healthy engine without any...
