Powerslot slotted and kvr slotted are better than brembo blanks.
Both Powerslot and KVR are almost always cadmium plated to resist corrosion.
Personally I use KVR which I got from RaptorRacing (SM vendor) for a GREAT price. I believe KVR is a Canadian company so I don't know if they would...
The biggest reason people bash the 1J is the .5L less displacement over the 7M/2J
Why on earth would you want to lose that .5L? The 2J is superior to the 1J.
I recomend not trading it.
Thanks for the replies!
The dual flex-a-lite look very nice.
1. How loud are those fans? I hate high pitched noise from fans (computer fans).
2. Does anybody have any data for the design life of the electronics? Approximately how many hours are they designed to run before potential...
I need an electric fan.
The 10-blade clutch fan will not fit with my front mounted crank sensor.
What kind of CFM should I be looking for from an electric fan? I prefer a dual fan setup and one that isn't very loud. I have seen dual 12" fans that flow 1800cfm and I have seen dual 12" fans...
Just some food for thought...Be careful with static when handling a circuit card like that. I see a few IC's on there that can easily get zapped and kill your unit. Always wear a ground strap to ground yourself and a grounded work bench.
P.S. paper is a huge source of static.
That is normal.
It is just a fault in the design of the circuit. The switch doesn't realize the headlight isn't fully closed so if you turn the switch to quickly the light gets frozen in whatever position it is in.

Climate control
Daylight
Night (moved out of dash and into center console)
Reason for moving climate control (8.4" touchscreen with VGA, hence the blue climate control)
Good effort but 194 style bulbs are readily available at any electronics surplus store in a variey of colors.
Check on ebay for #194 leds.
They just plug in and have built in resistors so they will work on any 12V input voltage.
I know its not a piggyback but the other ECU forum seems to be related to the OEM ecu so this looked like the best place for this thread.
I know about the other threads around disussing the capablilities of MS and vaguely how to build one but what this thread is (hopefully) more towards the...
Thats pretty cool!
My GF helps me with body work but not mechanical stuff.
I hope that hydraulic jack was not the only thing supporting that car up, I couldn't see any stands.
....is there anybody out there? ;)
I have my set-up up and "running" but very poorly. I admit I don't know much about tuning and setting up all the different tables but I am willing to and trying to learn.
I am using the V3.0 board with MS2 and using EDIS6 with a VR sensor for ignition...
You can use Aeroquip (or similar) soft lines which are not braided SS but still hold 300+psi. Much easier to install than bending hardlines.
I got enough to do 2 cars for $50 from a surplus hydraulics shop.
There is a minor noticeable fuel smell since it is softlines, so if that bothers...
Stock head bolts are torque to yield which means the recomended torque value for the bolts brings the material of the bolts to its "yield strength" limit. NEVER re-use torque to yield bolts, they have been "stretched".
