I couldn't find a m12X1.25 to -4an fitting, like above, all i could get was an m12X1.25 to -6an fitting and I didn't want to sue all the adapters. So I cut off the banjo fitting from the stock feed line, welded on a -4an weld fitting and used that.

Its not as hard as it seems. We make LED backlights for all kinds of custom LCD displays at my work. The hardest part will be deciding on diffussers to soften the the output without hindering the luminance to much.

I disagree, a proper penetration welded joint will be far stronger than a folded edge, especially in such thin gauge metal. Unless of course you try to make it look pretty afterwards and grind the welds down, then it will crack, especially in an area that can only be welded from the outside...
