Now that is something that isnt even in the same ballpark. Not only is my Miata around 1400 lbs lighter, but I also have a lightweight flywheel that I habitually use to engine brake everywhere and only use my brakes to come to a complete stop 70-80% of the time. They looks practically new, even...
My DD has a combo of Hawk HPS front and EBC Greenstuff rear, and I'm really liking both, especially the EBCs. Of course, it's very important to follow the break-in procedure carefully. Also, these are on my DD which weighs 1400 lbs less, but the compound should be the same regardless
I checked it out for a bit on wikipedia. My gf didnt find it any more entertaining than you did haha. I think it's pretty interesting stuff myself. Thanks for the vid, I'll check it out later
They prolly have more pressure in them and perhaps not as much vapor absorbed by the charcoal. It'd still work I'm sure, just not as well. I can't remember for sure, but I believe the factory one is close to 1.75 liters big or so
Are you still upset over the ITB thing? The originals will always be the only originals. If other people want to go for another set, I dont see why the people that paid tons more for the same part deserve any special treatment from the community. Yes, it's baller status, and good for them. I'm...
I'm with stupid. Who are you to decide who does and doesnt get parts in our community? If someone wants to go for a quality replica for a part that isnt made anymore (or in this case, even better, getting the originals remade by the same company), then they should be able to without being...
Hey Ian, I just bought your old AccuSump setup (or so I'm told). Always loved the idea when I originally saw yours. I might have some questions about hooking it up in the future and how you did yours, but I assume its pretty straightforward given the instructions. Any help would be appreciated...
Yes, there's no exact measurement of similarity really between oil types, even within the same brand. For instance, the Royal Purple 10w30 at temp is thinner than 5w30. Not sure if that's still the case, but the older sheets/analyzation indicated it
Thanks man. It helps to start with a car that has a clearcoat and that isnt completely shot--you can see my Miata daily poking out in one of the pics that is pretty much pink its so faded.
In either case, it takes plenty of time and patience!
Oh, and I LOL'd Brad
