That is crazy! Are you in Regina too?
I would definately like to get some 264's down the road too, how are you liking them? For the wastegate piping, I mocked up some piping using cardboard tube and carpenter's glue. Still waiting to get it fabbed up. The piping itself does not interfere...
Next I removed the intercooler and installed the new one. I could have fit it in without trimming the hood latch support bracket, but to get it where I wanted it I ended up doing a little trimming. I ran the hot side intercooler piping down beneath the headlight. The cold side I found...
The engine bay was pretty gross from 20 years of road grit etc., so I got some degreaser and spent some time cleaning everything up.
I fitted everything up to check clearances. I cut a fair bit off the intake to make it fit, and cut my oil drain line to length.
Next was the fun part..., taking out the stock twins. For the most part this wasn’t all that bad, especially since I didn’t have any time constraints (snow is now on the ground), but some of those manifold bolts were pretty ridiculous and took some unorthodox ratchet extensions and hand...
A couple weeks later Christmas came early! (I was too excited to remember to take any good pictures of everything)
I started with the injectors which were kind of a pain in the ass without taking off anything (which in retrospect maybe I should have done to make my life easier). I...
Backing up a bit, I had to get the car through the provincial inspection first. The car was actually in really great shape cosmetically and mechanically so after doing ball joints I was good to go. When I got the car the modifications were as follows:
Lowered with Bilstein coilovers...
I’ve been putting off doing a build thread for a while, but I figured its about time so I’ll start with a brief history
I’ve always been a big Supra fan. This probably stemmed from my Dad who bought a silver MKII out of the showroom back in ’85 which he always raved about. After I got my...
There will be two oil feed ports for the stock twins. You can block one off and use the other for the single. It is a 12mm hole, and you can get a 12mm to -4 fitting from driftmotion if you need.

Well, the best setting is whatever gets you in that 11.5:1 range at WOT and full boost for your particular set up. Last year when I still had the stock twins my set up was full 3" exhaust from Y-pipe back, intake, 15 psi boost and I found that pulling about 15-17% from about 4000rpm up got me...
That seems very high to me but everywhere I read people say to that mustang dynos read 10-20% lower than other dynos so that makes me feel a little better.
Went to the dyno for the first time yesterday. I did two runs and the car seemed to be running really solid. Numbers were a little lower than expected at 271hp and 275 ft-lbs, but its a Mustang dyno so I hear that's fairly conservative. A/F's were pretty steady between 11-11.5. Anyways, on...
Great thread man, just read through the whole thing. I might be referencing back to this in a couple of months when I (hopefully) go single. Probably the 60-1 too. When do you start building boost and when do you hit full boost with your setup?
I like the added resolution of the neo (16 points), a nicer monitor mode, and very nice integration into the ashtray on our Supra's to give a very clean look. The controls are very fool proof as well.
But I do agree that performance per dollar the SAFC I is a better deal.
They did take away...
Yeah, don't get an SAFC I, or you'll just wish you would have gotten something newer later. SAFC II and the neo are similar enough tuning wise so its up to you whether the neater look and color display are worth the extra cash.
I put a neo in my JZA70 last year and as was mentioned it is quite...
?? Neo will not monitor A/F ratios. It will let you adjust them, but then of course you need a wideband for your actual monitoring. Even still this will not likely solve your dilema. Although a SAFC can change the fuel cut point by "tricking" the ECU, this is not what it is designed to do...
