    Not a BHG holy crap!

I 'by-passed' the coolant feeds into my throttle body about 4 months ago. I just pulled the hoses off it, and put them together with an 8mm (5/16") brass pipe and hose clamps. I did it to have a 'cooler' throttlebody for cooler air intake. I like the performance much better now. If your...

    Water to the Throttle Body

I've been running mine by-passed for 4 months, and right away it seemed I have better throttle responce. Cooler intake air. As we get into fall weather, it feels like I have 20 more HPs in the early morning.

    OBX Cam Gears

Its up to you. You could always experiment with the position locator pins in the stock gears to change valve timing.

    quick question?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Supra "The non-turbo 7M-GE models came as standard issue with the W58 manual transmission, and the 7M-GTE came as standard with the R154."

    egr cooler

Are you talking coolant leak?? cause there is no coolant for the egr cooler. only air. If you are talking exhaust gas leak at the cooler, you can remove the cooler cover and then clean everything, then just reseal with FIPG. There's just not much pressure in the cooler to worry about...

    crankshaft pulley removal

Sad.....but fotunately 9 outa 10 pulleys come off using a couple of large screwdrivers to get it started. I've done about 50 supras and 20R & 22R (Celica and trucks) motors that way. I actually only had to use a puller once.

    who's balanced???

interesting read... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Supra "All four generations of Supra produced have an inline 6-cylinder engine, one of the few known piston configurations which is perfectly mechanically balanced, leading to very low vibration from the engine. 80k on the bottom...

what is a sign of tranny mount failure?

Tire un-balance problems show up around 55mph. They send vibration into the steering components. It could cause the shift lever to vibrate too. You can jack up the car and slide under to see the trans mount. There should also be a rubber stopper that will keep the trans off metal parts...

    crazy fan clutch

When the temp is cold, the silicone gel inside thickens up, and fan turns alot. When radiator warms up, and warm air warms the gel, it allows fan to slip. When radiator gets real hot, a valve in the fan clutch closes off a passageway inside, and fan pulls alot of air. Idea of fan clutch is...

    3 Questions:wiper motor/washerfluid sprayer/slow auto window

wipers...could be a bad ground (seen it a few times), which does not allow enough current to flow. washers...have a friend turn them on while you use a neddle to put into the little holes which can help clean them out. When the hose is not hooked to the nozzles, there is not a lot of...

Death to freeze plugs (or at least this one)

I ALWAYS remove them by punching a hole in them with a hammer and sharp punch. If you can't get a hammer close in, then use a "ladyfoot" (tool store or truck will know what they are), and a hammer. Then pry out. You can also use a dime/nickle size flat punch, and knock in one side, which...

    Bad rings??

AND.....you can have 150psi readings, and still be blowing blue smoke out the tail pipe !! How can that be(you're asking quietly inside your brain)?? Because the 'oil rings' can be bad (stuck or worn out). It allows a larger film of oil to remain on the cylinder walls, and can actually...

Does the A/C system have cfc's in the freon

Tis very true. We did not know then about poison gas making. I once knew a fellow mechanic that was standing at the back of a running car with an a/c hose leak. He suddenly fell down. Turns out (after hospital) that he had breathed in some poison gas. The leak was right in front of the...
