Check that both of the cam pulleys are 100% tight. I have heard of that making a lot of noise and not being completely obvious they were loose with the belt tension on them.

Heads are completely different so you will have to go with an aftermarket FFIM if you go that route. Pistons, head (intake ports), Ignition system, cams and I believe rods.....someone correct me if I'm wrong on this, Are all different.

Are you running premium fuel?

Sounds like detonation, does it happen more when it warm out or when you have the engine under load such as going up a hill?

Most run upwards of 850cc injectors on E85. I would think you would be lucky to push the numbers you are right now with 550s on E85. SAFC is a pretty limited tuning tool, not suited for major change such as this. Just go single if your worried about it. More power, not much lag and not overly...
