I disagree with his oil recommendations but there is still some good info. I also think that fromgehenna's pulley option is a much better retrofit. Shimming the pump can raise idle pressure slightly, it shouldn't under perfect (new component) conditions but I have seen it on both the stock as...
Question, Is there a reason you chose to increase the pump rpm vs just shimming the internal relieve spring in the pump? Shimming it usually brings the idle pressure up while keeping the pump speeds down. The only increase would be in the upper rpms which I didn't think was an issue.
Stainless would be great if you have a tig. With a mig it can be done but is a bit of a pain imo. The flange will also be more costly to have made in stainless. I personally opted for regular mild exhaust tubing and coated it.
FYI Randy's DDP's are just aluminized steel and painted unless you...
Never mind ^ saw your post on being into them about 150 on the injector thread. Did you figure out exactly what years/models these came in? I have seen a couple TBs listed for sale that have yellow top injectors with a black body instead of silver. Figured they were the same but one listing gave...
Makes sense, I wouldn't think that would be a terribly high stress part even with cams & springs.
You might have mentioned this but on your injectors, how did you land cost wise by the time you bought 3 sets of throttle bodies and resold them I am assuming? Those are at the top of my list for...
Just Finished Reading this whole thread over the last couple days. Excited to see it on the road, hopefully soon.
Couple Q's
1. What is the advantage of using a 5M oil pump pulley? Stronger?
2. Who makes your Fuel hoses and fittings and what is that hose type called.
In to see what you...
IIRC others have routed the entire harness under the dash and out the driver side so I think you will be ok on length there. The hot side sensors (cps, o2, temp sensors, ac switch, oil) all should be plenty long to rout through the render well.
The only issues I can see is that quite a few...
I am guessing 3 pulls for $75? Not that my car will be back on the ground....but if I can manage to find some free time I may try to stop by. Got a link to any other event info?
Nice, sunroof? Is keeping it that way still the plan and are you still living at the same place? If its nice this weekend maybe I'll come stop by and see it.
I apologize for the thread jack ....
Justin, where have you been hiding haven't seen you around these parts much? You get another supra yet? You might as well, Im sure you still have parts sitting in your garage for one :D
Seems to be the going rate, a dealership has a red 92 sunroof with 80k on the showroom floor for $12,XXX locally.
Funny thing is I stopped in on a Friday, normal clothes (t-shirt and jeans) salesman caught me looking, we made small talk and I mentioned a test drive. Then he got on about well...
Bummed....I finally found a set of shoes I like that are actually in my price range (ie not HREs) and they only come in 18x8.5 +30 or +40 and 18x9.5 +25 <<<WHY??? Seems like an unpopular offset if your only going to offer one 9.5.
Looks good K_SHAN
Albert you will have to report back on how that pc680 does for you, I was considering the same battery. I was am skeptical on whether it would have enough juice and reserve to handle being daily driven and sitting off an on throughout the year. I was thinking maybe two of them or the pc925 would...
