Wow I live within walking distance of this! I might have to come out after I get this rebuild done this weekend.. maybe, ,y car is slow though.. so I don't know if i can hang
I'm from Corning/Elmira area its a long ass drive here to TX! My head gasket blew so I pulled it all out last night and tore it all down and now its at the machine shop and turbos at the shop getting rebuilt and parts being powder coated! I'm hoping to put down about 500rwhp finally with some...
I've heard of a couple of the koyos doing this acutally.. It seems to be a flaw with a couple of them that were sold at the same time... but I'll try the cap... but it seems to be releasing the pressure because I get some in my overflow... Or its not keeping enough pressure in there?
I've...
My Koyo Race Radiator started leaking the other day really bad, it got hot twice but not fully to the red line... As soon as I saw it start to creep up I pulled over and put some more water in it... I temp fixed the radiator with some of the liquid aluminum puddy... it's not leaking anymore...
Holy thread revivial!!! I think it's just something with us ICE BLUE supras.... we all like to race! Supra Nasty sorry I forgot your first name.... you bringing the car to TX this year?
OK, I'm doing this right now... I'm getting the carrier bearing from Autozone and taking it to my friend to weld on a tab to match the stock one... but I'm also going to be getting a 1 Piece steel ds aswell! I love to drag race and thats why the steel ds.. I'm installing some loops and getting...
Get the MT DR's, They seem to last a while! I've put about 5k miles on mine and have about 30 passes on them and they still have 50% tread left! I've had the nittos as well but they don't hook as good or last that long.. I went through some in 4k miles and that was the last I got them...
I was just saying that It spools very quick for what it is on a stock manifold... I know that with boosting at the higher levels the bb helps with longevity is all... When I asked about my car and the diff in price for the BB version he said that it wouldn't boost up that much sooner is all...
I have a JT58 and saw 24psi at 3700rpms a couple times when tunning and playing with my car on the street... it is non ball bearing... Love the turbo.... going for 500rwhp in a couple weeks.. I wouldn't get the BB version unless you plan on boosting like 25+psi...
Only had mine for 1 year about 20k miles and it just came apart... They were brand new.... So I don't know what you're getting at.... I haven't raced my car in a while and it's just my daily... Just bad luck... How many have you actually seen anyways? Y
Oh and on the PBR's make sure that you give them the right number... They already ordered mine for the 03 Mach 1 mustang and they are in, just waiting on the caliper adapter from Doward..... Cant wait to put them on!!!
Ok, going through this right now!!! I bought my Bilstiens from Autozone and they had them to me in a couple days! Actually the reason why I bought them is for the warranty! If you buy them from some place online just to save like $10 per shock is crazy! Because if something happens to them...
I guess that's just the difference between you guys and me... I don't street race! Id rather just go to the track... My car is my daily driver and have a nice set of wheels and tires for everyday that I can 60' 1.9 with... If I race i go to the track... I'm not trying to corner on my big fat...
Why do you want a big fat tire for the street? They make those sizes for different drag classes... I have some nice wheels for the street and the welds for the track... When these tires are done.. I'm getting slicks.. to each his own..
Auto or Manual slicks are better for the track and will...
Why don't you guys just run a good set of slicks then? Duane and others have run many 1.6 times with 26"slicks.... They're better for our 5spd cars anyways.... you guys wanna run these huge drag radials when a smaller slick will be better.... I run the MT 275/50/15 still as shown in the first...
I have the a Boss turbo 60-1 with 580ccPTE injectors and with some race gas, I'm shooting for 500rwhp, I'll probably do it very soon! 680's you can control with a piggy back ecu, but it's very hard. I had 680's on this setup before and the 580's are so much better and will get me to 500rwhp...
I have to replace my TPS. We tested it at the ECU to check the wiring and at the throttle body and off the car, and the reading were intermitant. I have another TPS here that checks out fine but it is 90* rotated from the one on my car. Is it an NA TPS?
