I'm not familier with the APEX BOV but isn,t the nut your refering to just the lock nut for the adjuster? If so you need to turn the adjuster not just loosen the nut. Alot of larger BOV's if not adjusted correctly will surge at low boost.

All of these cars should be put out of there misery, especially the red drifto UK car with the Saxo tail lights.
