I have had someone who filled there engine up with oil, literally.
It was level with the top of the rocker cover.
or the woman who complained about bad fuel consuption in her old Mini, turns out she had been using the choke as a rest for her handbag.
aaaaaaaawwwwwww come on man its the HOFF were talkin about, he could drive an old shitty black trans am with a beige interior and a shiney leather jacket and look cool.
F1 engines were making nearly 1000hp per liter in 1986, and running over 5bar boost and they lasted more than 900 revolutions. Qualifying for Monza in 1986 the benetton B186 peaked at 5.5bar or around 1400hp not bad for a 1494cc 4 pot.
I think he got confused with Kmh.
Funny story, my girlfriends son went for a ride in his cousins car (A mk4) and was bragin to me about doing 200mph and even had a photo of the speedo to prove it. I was impressed but sceptical then he showed me the pic of the engine and I started to chuckle...
The 7M gets a bad rap, but in reality its no less reliable than a J series engine. Poor rebuilds, zero maintainance and cheep kids wanting more boost rather than spending the money on reliability are what bring the engine down and give it a bad name.
My car came with a 7M GTE and will leave...
This might be a dumb question but couldn't you just plug in a flash drive to the usb port?? You can get 8 gig flash drives, who needs more than 500 songs in there car anyway??
Yes if you have a means of supporting the engine from above, but it involves dropping the subframe. This is how id did a repair on my sump a few months back. Is less work than an engine removal but isn't a small job by any means.
Stock FPR is designed to work with the stock pumps flow rate. If you fit a larger pump with a higher flow rate you will get alot more fuel pressure. Do you have a pressure gauge?? I would hazard a guess that with 12v constant to the pump you will be up around 50psi at the rail. I have a Walbro...
You must have your wires crossed, the "rotten egg smell" as you put it is sulphur dioxide which is a by product of a cat. My car is de catted and doesn't smell that bad at all. 7M's smell bad because they run 10:1< at WOT so there are a fare few unburned hydrocarbons being pumped out your exhaust.
Have you zeroed out the SAFC??? I would unplug the SAFC rest the ECU then go for a drive to see if it's a TCCS problem. If you have already tried this my appologies for not reading properly.
That is the only problem I have heard about on these regulators is the diaphragm is of low quality. Now if we could just get a supply of diaphramgs the other components should last as well as the aeromotive one.
Go to Scotland you get free education and a kilt:evildeal:
just looked up my credit card bill online I owe £168 ($320) but then again I don't have a fancy edumacation.
I have done 140mph gps confirmed, was reading 150 on the speedo 5500 in top with r154 and 3.73 diff. I think it would have easily gone on to 160 if I had held my nerve and there wasn't cars about 300 yards up the road doing 70 - 80. Only took about 1/2 a mile to get from 80 to 140 two's up and...
