No fuel cut without lex AFM

Yes you can get more out of them but note I said at 43psi and 85% duty. More fuel pressure and 95% duty would probably allow you to run 450 (crank)hp

I was assuming as he is called turbo dave he's thinking R154

EGR has been fitted to diesel cars for years in europe, my girlfriends Rover 620 SDi has EGR and that was made in 1996.

    5-Speed Shifter Opinion

I like the truck like gear change of the stock shifter (although mine is about an inch and a half shorter) remindes me I'm in a tank.:biglaugh:

    Rear End/Suspension Questions

I have just notice all your diffs are different to mine, mine has a cooling tower on the front of it. Are yours not LSD's?? Can't see why my euro spec car would have a cooler and US spec cars don't (as its normally hotter in the US, well in the lower states)

    water pump

I doubt a water pump failing would cause steam to come out of your exhaust. Are you sure that steam isn't just moisture from idling the car for a long time?? Best way to tell if the pump has gone is to pull it off, with the right tools it should only take about 45 mins to an hour if you take...

    EGR ???

This is very intrseting stuff, I had no idea that the TCCS was so finely tuned with EGR. I may have to dig out my EGR bits and screw them back onto the car. I tend to spend alot of my time in that transient reigon between 2500 and 4000 rpm on part throttle and in boost. Could also do with the 5%...

    boost is like crack lol

The old man is right, humans adapt to there surroundings no matter how much power you have you will always adapt. My supra was feeling slow a few months back so I took a brake for a month or so and drove my diesel (72hp) for a while. Got back in the supra and felt nervious of the car for the...

No fuel cut without lex AFM

All you need is an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and a wide band. sock fuel pressure for a turbo according to the TSRM is between 33 - 40 psi with no vac. With a lex afm just bump it up to about 43 psi. The car is so rich from the factory you don't need the 550's. 440's at 85% duty will...

    Constant Adjustment of A/F Levels

If you haven't been running it long and have not been boosing the sensor should still be good. Might have taken a few hours off its life. I don't think replacements are that expensive $60 I think I have seen them for. Also remember to mount it with at least a 10* angle with the direction of...

No fuel cut without lex AFM

I have been experimenting with this sort of setup. I run my stock AFM with the screw as far out as it will go and 13psi boost, I have a wide band so know exactly what is going on. I even turned my base fuel pressure down to 34psi (no vac) and was still seeing 10:1 at WOT. The stock fuel system...

    extra head cooling #6 cyl!!!!!

    losing compression....

Was everything within spec?? The 7M is in no way a bad engine, buying a 1J will not make all your problems go away.

    Constant Adjustment of A/F Levels

    ^^^^^^^ Resistance is futile

    Constant Adjustment of A/F Levels

Yep sensor is to close to the turbo, I'm pretty sure it says in the instructions that on a turbo car it needs to be between 24" - 36" down streem of the turbo outlet. Mine is 2/3's of the way down the the downpipe.

    O2 Sensor?

The O2 sensor plug is the one on the second pic, My O2 sensor has a round plug on it but the US one might be different. If not just get a new O2 sensor and solder the wires to the harness.

    O2 Sensor?

I might be mistaken but that 2 wire plug looks like the one for the progressive power steering:kloguck:

    timing, is that the question...

Yes it defaults to 175*f but that won't be much good on a cold start.

    timing, is that the question...

Water temp? as in a code 22?? This will cause you all sorts of grife, as the ECU has no idea what the engine temp is.
