Not worth tracking an supra (unless you have a good budget) when there are so many other lighter cars for the same sort of money. If you want a fun track car buy a BMW E30 strip it and drop in the lump out of a 535 you will have more power than the N/A mk3 and be about 400 kg lighter.
I have to agree with you there, I drove mine with just the down pipe on about 100 yards when I was making my 3" catback and all I could think was diesel truck.

Sounds like there could be a tiny bit of surge there as if the valve isn't opening fast enough but then again it could just be the sound the valve makes. You will know compressor sure when you hear it, it sounds like the three stooges wooot woooot woooot.
A loose crank dampener can sound very much like rod knock. It rattles as it becomes loose and as its attached to the end of the crank sounds like a knocking bearing.
I love my stock seats, my drivers seat is tatty (leather) but its so soft and comfy. I regularly do 4 - 5 hour trips in my supra and get out at the end of the trip still feeling fresh.
