My speedo is only 4mph out at 100mph, but I recalibrated it by pulling the needle off and rotating it a bit counter clockwise. Its dead on up to 50mph but then starts to go out after that. 70mph speedo is 68mph gps so its pretty good.
As far as I'm aware no one has ever run a CT26 on a tubular manifold, the stock manifold isn't the week link the CT26 is. Malloynx made 543whp on the stock manifold with a bolt on Boss turbo.

Its basically a bolt head rubbing against a dished metal plate thats about 1" square. Its not really doing damage so to say unless your bouncing off the lock stops hard all the time.

Jack up car
remove wheel
turn steering to full opposit lock
use a flat blade screw driver to remove what is left of the old one
push on new one
straighten wheels
replace wheel
lower jack
Repeat on other side
If you really want to see if your head has worked loose, mark all the bolts/ studs with a paint pen crack off and retorque the bolts as mentioned in previous posts. I will bet you at least half of the marks will not line up after the retorque.

It wouldn't hurt so to speak, but it will be a bitch to remove it if you need to. An inline mounted engine puts alot less stress on an exhaust as opposed to a transversly mounted engine.
