I had those on my SC. They handled great but were completely worthless for straight line traction. I'd regularly spin 3rd gear on the street with only ~450 hp. I did manage a 12.7 with them (2.1 60') at the track though.
Good for highway roll-ons
Going to shock load driveline and break stuff
Meh, same as DRs on sawblades aside from looks and a bit less sidewall for even more driveline shock.
Also not street legal.
I'd say get some ET street bias plies for the sawblades or RX7 wheels (skinnies up...
Mustang is alot better for tuning. Come with enough $ for a couple of hours and plan to spend it all. Be sure you are very familiar with what you are tuning and don't waste any time regapping plugs or silly crap like that on the dyno.
If you just want some glorious numbers, pull off the...
What diagram? There are two ported vacuum holes (99% of people just block them off) and two coolant fittings on the Q45 throttle body. Epoxy works well for permanently blocking the vacuum fittings off, so you don't have to worry about some stupid cap blowing off on boost. It is also a good...
Full 4" is pretty f'ing loud. A "race" muffler and turndown under the car is going to be stupid loud. A full 4" exhaust can tuck in pretty tight on the A70 and exiting out the rear quiets it down a pretty large amount from any angle other than straight behind (driving past a cop for example will...
LC-1 is a pain in the balls. FJO has a similar display and similar functionality to the PLX with a more robust reputation for reliability and accuracy (and unfortunately a pricetag to go with it).
I heard the Vegas meet was for ricers that like to pose in the dragstrip parking lot next to their slow ass cars that will never be lined up at the tree. That is why I go to TX every year instead. :D
I can understand how they are defensive/defeatist at this point but, I'd like to see if we all can put bickering and partisanship aside help get this build back on track. I'd hate to see this end in a for sale thread. That is why I started posting here.
On the contrary, this is an extremely informative thread in my opinion. I know it is painful for you and I'm not trying to rub salt in or anything, just want you to finally get to the payoff of getting it finished after all you have been thru and still stuck with it. You deserve to be enjoying...
Just reading the thread and the clearly posted facts therein. Not intended as a personal jab as I don't know you or BoostedFloto from Adam. I just felt bad reading the thread and wanted to point out the ultimate cause for the car still not running so this can stop happening.
I was asked to take a look at this thread by someone. All I can say is wow, what a heartbreaker.
Engine assemby should involve thorough cleaning and checking of all clearances and correction of any that are out of spec. Cheap ass 7M guys always freak out when I tell them it is going to cost a...
80 is unusually high for the mircoseconds per bit and 100 is abnormally high for the crank injector time table. 0 is absurdly low for the initial crank pulse.
Not sure what you mean about the timing mark bieng elusive. Set the timing in your calibration inside the marks on your...
Waiting for it to rattle so you can hear it and then put the race gas in isn't the greatest idea unless you just enjoy the rebuilds. You can't go by boost alone either. You need to have a good picture of what is going on in your setup and when you are pushing it too hard on pump swill. Being a...
Tampa (er, tampa mexico that is) has a bit more room to play than NY. We always take any and all nessicary precautions to make sure nobody gets hurt. No swerving in and out of traffic or ricer stupidity like that. Empty open roads with no entrances or cross traffic is where it is at and decent...
P5150, why is your initial crank pulse tabe all 0? 100 sounds way to high for the crank injector time table also, maybe because you have the initial crank pulse at 0...
Backfiring usually means that either plugs are firing with valves open (ignition timing waaay out) or fuel burning in the...
