I'm in the same boat..was ready to ship my manifold off for conversion but the address he gave me was bad.

I just installed the type 2 shine auto lip yesterday. Fitment is spot on. Yes the texture is not smooth to the touch. Looks very robust. It is quite flexible when forced, otherwise it is rigid. I will not be painting.
ok guys..here is the update.
I got the NA filter bolt from the dealership.
Is there suppose to be a gasket that goes on this NA bolt into block? and what is the torque spec?
Also, which side of this NA bolt threads into the block? One side has less threads then the other.
I got this filter on order. How often do you change this external filter and the oem filter in transmission pan while in conjunction? Do you have this filter before of after your external tranny cooler?
That 24mm was really on there good....had to improvise and use sum pipe laying around to get more torque. (already using 24" ratchet)
Hope to have time to finish the install tomorrow. Not certain on cooler location yet.
Any suggestions. In for pictures if ya got them.

I have done my research and seen Jdub awesome thread. I still have a few concerns.
TSRM Bolt #15609G...is this the only bolt holding the oil filer housing to block? Any tips on removing...

In regardes to the Beech front upper control arm, can this only be adjusted for additional negative camber beyond OEM?
Little backround, I am currently runing coilovers on stock size wheels and tires. I have 17x9 +35 and 17x10 +20 wheels on the way and they will be mated with 255x40 and 275x40 tires. I will also order the poly bushings kit for front and rear along with new OEM front lower ball joints.

Update: I was able to get my hands on 2 cans or r12. After charging the system I now have ice cold air coming thru the vents.
One thing I noted, with ambient temps near 90F and AC on, my coolent temps topped at 99C. This is during normal cruise and some stop and go traffic. Car has new...
