the ill effects would be less cooling and rain being able to hit the rotor... if you look at the front brake dust covers, there are air scoops that direct airflow onto the rotors themselves...
How hard is it to remove the break/rotor dust cover? All 4 of mine are pretty damn rusty and one is just barely hanging on... I thought i would just remove them. I believe you have to take off the rotors obviously, but from there, are they simply bolted on?
In the TSRM is seems like I have to...
I just bought a kit which includes the degreaser, metal ready and a quart of por-15... This stufff was crazy expensive... the kit cost me $118 CAD after taxes!!!... Insane price if you ask me. I've slapped it on places on my rear subframe that started to rust badly and around my rear fender...
If you bypass the ISC, won't you get a crappy idle? From what I understand the ISC measures the temperature of the coolant and adjusts the idle accordingly. When its cold the idle raises and lowers as the coolant warms up.
Or am I completely wrong at what the ISC does?
I recently took off my stock cat-back to repaint the muffler black and put on my DP. I noticed that there was as significant amount of water in the resonator. It was like it was FULL of water!... Mind you the car hasn't been driven for a super long time and its been worked on slowly as I get...
Nice story indeed. A bit off topic... What's the candy smell white smoke coming from if its not your HG? Is it your throttle body/turbo leak? Just curious as I was experiencing this problem. I have a stock exhaust and it seems that my middle resonator is FULL of water that I cannot get out!
If your talking about a 7m-gTE engine.. I 've seen them go for REAL DIRT CHEAP!
1- try $650 in toronto area with a turbo and harness/ECU. I've them go for usually 650-800 including shipping or + shipping. (Usually shipping would be $100 or so, that is the shop delivering it).
4- I highly...
I'm looking to buy some vacuum hose for my new bosch bypass valve... I need a 1/4 inch inner diameter hose. Most places I've looked sell a bunch of vacuum hoses in a pack. I don't need all of them. I just need 1 foot of 1/4 inch ID hose.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks.
I got the same problem! I cleaned the cold start injector and checked the cold start timing switch etc...
One thing I did find was that it started up fine when I just charged my battery and put in the car. My battery is dead 1/2 the time because i don't drive it. The car would only start on...
Polish people??? Which part are you living in? Its ran by orientals such as myself and east/west indians now. That's in the mavis/eglinton area though.
When you say measure the OD of the stock tips, are you measuring the 2 pipes itself or the metal flanges that flare out from the individual pipes which have a hole in the for the screw to go into?
Supramania has exploded, it seems that everyone jumped from some other forum onto here.
I was wondering for those running a Stock Muffler, what tips can fit on them? I've heard that Nissan Maxima/Altima/Sentra tips fit on it, but I'm not 100% sure. Has anyone used some other generic dual...
You say it's leaking from the oil line feed from the block to the turbo. There are 2 Crush Washers that are used to attach the line to the block with a banjo bolt. Did you reuse those crush washers? If so, that is your mistake. Never reuse them as they are usually meant for 1 time use only! Get...
Thanks for the replies, I will take a closer look at the CPS this weekend.
I agree I always like his posts too. How else you think I knew about the CSI and cold start timer switch?
- Thanks again
The only mods I have is the HKS air filter, but that should not affect it at all. I'm going to clear the codes again and make sure I get the same code.
I have a feeling that the stumbling is caused by extra fuel being dumped in the beginning and then when it fires up, it runs very rich. I...
