If you want to hold power, and do it cheaply, buy the Godspeed inter-cooler ($100 in some places) to what ever size you want. Then have the end tanks cut and re-welded on by a good welder. My buddy did that to his on his MK4 and his godspeed is holding 600+ HP.

Another small update, I got the throw-out assembly back together after a buddy let me use his already assembled one as a template. Looks and feels a lot better in the pressure plate. The throw out is also not moving forward which is exactly what you want, you need the slave cylinders hydraulic...

Small update here, ill be purchasing a oil relocation filter tonight or tomorrow, also some new connectors from drift-motion for the work that's needed on the new harness. As of now, I have re timed the motor correctly, to fire. Ill be setting the inition timing via this amazing post by shaeff...

Like stated before, you can do it just don't layer it on. A lite coat or two will do the job. Or just get a huge polished one, then look like the shiit every where you go, and done deal.

Ok so I have a febuary of 89 car, the motor was using round mounts, so I bought the 98 TT mounts both for $110 shipped from elmhurst toyota on suprafrums, these matched with the 89+ motor brakcets fit perfectly.

It will lol, again just tieing up the loose ends, while its out I may go ahead and install the ac lines back in the car....but idk yet.

timing wouldn't be the issue, your sure the throttle body is closed? nothing is keeping it open? On a side note as hvyman stated, do not let it run in high revs at all on a brand new motor, you rings will exit the block that way. They need to be seated, on a normal break in.
