color needed for painting rear brake rotors

No I don't mean the calipers. I DO mean the rotor..Again,..the "drum" portion of the rotor that the parking brake pads touch. Obviously, not the inner side that the e-brake pads actually touch, but the outer side that is visible. Perhaps only supras with the gray wheels had the drum...

color needed for painting rear brake rotors

I've searched and can't find the info..... I'm replacing my original rear rotors and I'm trying to find if someone knows an exact brand/color code, number or name to paint the outer "drum" section of the rear rotors to original appearance. Hopefully someone has already done this and...

Did MKIII's come from factory with R-134?

there is a sticker saying that a dye has been added;however, no mention of any retrofitting being done. All fittings appear to be stock, so I'm assuming it still has R-12. Rick

Did MKIII's come from factory with R-134?

I have found various info searching but nothing diffinitive. I guess a second question to ask, again which I can't seem to find an answer to using search odly enough, is how to determine (it it can be determined) if you have an a/c system that has been converted? Rick

    Rare find

I looked at that 92 Teal as well last week. BE CAREFU"L if you are bidding on it, here a couple things... 1) a mouse nest was in the spark plug valley 2) 2-3 good sized shopping cart dings and dents 3) still has the original tires on the rear and the tires on the front, though still have nice...

Removing Temp Sensor from Therm Housing

Well... it came right off after letting the engine cool for about 30 minutes to let the coolant pressure reduce, still leaving the sensor warm and with a breaker bar it came right off. rick

Removing Temp Sensor from Therm Housing

Actually, that photo is not mine, I pulled it from another thread while I was doing a search for this topic. Anyway, I like the idea of trying to crack it while the engine is hot. thanks, Rick

Removing Temp Sensor from Therm Housing

Of course... I know how to us a breaker bar. It felt as if the outer portion was turning and the threads were still locked, so I halted the torquing. rick

Removing Temp Sensor from Therm Housing

I'm trying to remove my temp sensor from the Thermostat housing while it's still on the engine. Tried to loosen it this morning, but it wouldn't move and I'm afraid of breaking it off with the threads still in the housing. I'm going to spray some liquid wrench on the surface of the threads and...

Dim Brake light in speedo gage

Yes I am speaking of the red light that says "brake" and I am aware that it indicates if the e-brake is on or off. I don't believe it is the wiring in the e-brake handle, as moving the handle has no effect on the light when it is dim (or fully bright for that matter). If it were a loose...

Dim Brake light in speedo gage

I have a 92 7MGTE, auto. I've searched and found nothing specific to my problem which is.... Sometimes upon starting up the engine, the brake light in the speedo gage will very dimly light up. ONLY the brake light will glow dimily, NOT the battery light at all, or the "rear brake light out"...

Part# for Mobil 1 oil filter?

Yeah, you are correct it is the M1-102. I also have a MKII Supra which uses the M1-204 filter and made the mistake of thinking the M1-204 would fit on my 7-mgte but it is too big to get up into the area. Need the smaller one, that is, the M1-102...thanks! Rick
