I've searched and can't find the info.....

I'm replacing my original rear rotors and I'm trying to find if someone knows an exact brand/color code, number or name to paint the outer "drum" section of the rear rotors to original appearance.

Hopefully someone has already done this and found a match and thus, save me time and money buying paint till I find the best match.

Anyone????

I hope that you mean the Calipers or the inner parts of the rotors!! You can use High Temp engine paint for that, and just get the color you like! Your car is black, paint them black or if you're bay is a different color ie couplers and other things, paint them that color.

No I don't mean the calipers. I DO mean the rotor..Again,..the "drum" portion of the rotor that the parking brake pads touch. Obviously, not the inner side that the e-brake pads actually touch, but the outer side that is visible.

Perhaps only supras with the gray wheels had the drum portion painted, thus not everyone will know what I'm talking about.

since your going to replace them why dont you just get some rotors that are nickle coated. the coat prevents rust. and the color will be the original color of stock mk3 rotor before they rusted.

ive had mine for some time and they still look good.

.

I knew this thread would cause confusion...
The drum portion of my original rear rotors are NOT rusting, as they are PAINTED gray. I think ValgeKotkas is making a joke about the rust, so don't mistake his comment to mean that mine are rusting.

I just want to know if someone has possibly gone through the huge variety in shades of gray to find one that matches the original color best.

My brembo's are NOT painted.... yet. They don't have any sort of coating on the hat of the rotor. I'll need to put some on though, cuz they already look rusted.

Ah, gotcha. At any rate the Brembos aren't *finished* in anything but good 'ole silver metal.

I really do need to put a coat of paint on them though...
