Mike, I think one of the reasons he wanted you to handle it was the issue of trust. I agree with the no middleman method, because of pure common sense. But, if we were to send money to a middleman, people would be much more trusting of you than any regular member (including myself). You have a...
It will NOT work. Contrary to popular belief, there are many harnesses over the years. Unless you are good with wiring, and ready to make things work, you should get the proper year harness. You can use an auto harness in a 5-speed car, but there are differences between the years. 86-88's are...
Noah and John (DrChill) just came over for a part swap. He brought me my fan shroud, and I gave him some Vacuum hose he needed. I was on my lunch, so we didn't work on anything, and I had to cut it short because my daughter's school called, and she was sick.
The starter hasn't given me any more...
Let me do a little splainin here.
First, I bought my car as a parted out shell. In a previous life, it was used as a drift car, but I don't know exactly to what extent.
I do run at -20 across the board, both low and high throttle. My injectors are EBAY PTE 550's, but they were flowed...
I've never heard it called the exciter wire. But ya, Pull the brown plugged wire from the starter, and test that it gets 12volts when someone else is turning the key. My 7 year old daughter helped me.
Another method is to put the car in NEUTRAL, and run a wire from your positive directly to the...
I would like to wish...........................
It's been a while since I have thought about that saved picture. Let's try to keep everything Christmas in this one thread.
Tell us what your wishes are
Tell us what you got for the Supra....or anything else for that matter
Tell us...
Sounds almost exactly like my set-up. I haven't had mine tuned yet, and it drives pretty strong with all NEO values at -20. I know it will be much different once tuned, which hopefully will be fairly soon.
^Great link Ken, I didn't have time this morning to find that one. That is a great deal compared to the $500+ new harness. I think that is a far better choice thAn trying to find a perfect match through the parts for sale. There are so many different ones. You get good wires, good connectors...
Grant, I sorry for your loss! I will pray for you and Carson's entire family.
Also, Thank you for letting us know during your time of grief. This forum is a pretty close nit bunch, so I'm sure someone knew him.
POR-15 makes some good shit. I don't know anything about the tank reconditioners, but my POR-15 coating has kept rust off of my exhaust manifold and turbo hotside for 3 years.
Quoting me, Quoting Jay...........
Couldn't you have done that to one of my smart ass comments???????? My phone was on my charger, but I got the message. I already knew. not much going on at work today.......maybe I should ship your box!
Going N/A in that 92 would kill the extra value the car has because it is a 92.
1J/2J are out of the question with $1500. And, that's a hell of a task if you would get lost in a motor rebuild anyway.
That leaves you with deciding on doing top end only, or full rebuild. With 160K on the clock...
From Suprahero: sorry Scott. I tried to reply to your quote and I accidentally hit edit instead.
I tried to quote yours and then put......
