Hey Supramaniac's

I installed the Walbro/Aeromotive set up, with 550 injectors

Car ran fine before I installed this set up

First problem: When I first fire up the car, it doesn't sound all the cylinders are getting gas, it sputters, as if the fuel has settled back to the tank or as if the cars staving for gas at first, but it doesn't take long before this problem corrects it self, then it runs good.

Second problem: I know everyones says to set your Areomotive at 40 to 42 with vaccuum off. I know stock is 35 to 38. It did seem to run better at a lower pressure, like 38. What do guys/gals think set it back to a lower Pressure?

Third: Why does the idle surge, every once in a while especially when it first starts.

Thanks again!1

"Everyone" is wrong...it's another one of those "forum spec's" that's in left field.
TSRM spec is 33-40 psi with the vac off...23-30 psi with vac line attached.

If you are using stock injectors, suggest you drop FP the 35-36 psi with the vac line disconnected. Attach the line and it should be between 23-30 psi.

With a Lex AFM? Then I would start out at the low end of the psi range...I run 26-27 psi vac line on.

did you drill your J tube to install the walbro?

No, I took it out as, everyone suggested I do. I wanted to leave it in but i couldn't figure out how to hook up the Walbro with it in.

Just to be clear......When you took the vacuum line off, did you block or pinch it off, or leave it open? It should be line off and plugged

Yep, I blocked off the vacuum line.
