is there any differance if you have JDM or US twins as far as the hammering of the firewall is concerned? I'm thinking that JDM vrs US may be the factor in how much hammering needs to be done-

If your useing a r154 trans, the standard 5 speed turbo drive shaft should fit just fine

I think it would be less expensive to buy a quality used engine as opposed to one that has been mishandled. I would not buy that

Did you take the crossmember off? I see yuor a 5 speed, if you put it on backwards, you will be off by a bit.

Per SOAPRA- Aristo= Front sump Supra= Rear sump Chaser= Front sump Soarer= Rear sump Cresta= Front sump MKII= Front sump

While it might be more expensive to take it to a shop. But, you will be sure of the correct bearings size. If you make a mistake( plastigage is not exact) you will have a spun bearing and a new rebuild. That would be most expensive
