I looked at your wheels closely.. you have pretty amazing fitment and no, your rubber does not looked stretched at all (well.. maybe a tiny bit). If I go 225/45/18 I think that will kick my odometer off by about 8-10 kph (already 5-6 off). I think I need to find the 90+ speedo gear for my 88 R154 to get it closer to correct. Its not critical though, once I know the true speed I am okay, I only drive 2-3k km per year in it.

I had a blow out on my Bridgestone Potenzas and replaced the rears with Yokohamas about 2 weeks back for 600.00.. so I am a tad reluctant in shelling out more money for rubber right now. Plus I am putting on braided brake lines, brembo rotors, master and slave Aisin clutch cylinders and HSD coilovers along with a new heater core and lines tomorrow which will set me back a bit of $. At least I can let it sit over winter and decide when the sun comes out again soon. : )

My overall diameter (wheel+tyre) is the same as the what the supra comes out of the factory on the 16x7 with standard tyres, or close enough like 0. something out.
Maybe go 17s if your planning to change completely, you wont have to roll your fenders and you can get pretty low

Wouldn't say so, depends on tire and how low you go. I'm quite low on the front maybe 100mm/4 inches off the ground from chassis rail to ground running 17x9 +35 and 225/45/17 I never rub (full lock or hard compression, hard compression with full lock also doesnt rub)
I also run this same set up on the rear and I could be running 17x9 +15 without any hassles

hey all. i'm looking at a set of 15x8 weld pro stars for my mk3. i'm no good at figuring out backspacing, so does anyone know if these will fit if they have 3-1/2 " backspacing? also, i should ask if they will fit over the brakes as well.
thanks...................

I think stock mk3 is 225 50r16, which in itself is fairly beefy. Not sure why you would go with 15's unless you were looking for a lot if sidewall.. Don't know about fitment of the ones you describe although if I'm correct, stick offset is 33 mm on a 7.5" rim. Most go bigger, curious why you want 15's

This should be roughly a +25mm offset.

Hey guys, need help. I have bough some insane wheels for my supra and now doing the maths work to see if they fit! I bought work meisters 3pc wheels rears only. They are 19" x 11" with offset +10 and 245/35R19 tyres on my 89 Jap import supra (updated body) ... Now I know I have to do some guard work, but how much and if anyone has done it before as The supra guards don't look user friendly for rolling. Also I have a 25mm spacer on the car currently with my old wheels, should I leave that on so it makes a +35 offset?

I have 17x9 +24 offset all around. The wheels say the CB (center bore or diameter?) is 70.8. These are cobra replicas. I've searched and I can not find anything except where a couple others asked and did not find an answer. Since the cb is 70.8 and I believe the stock was 60ish (confirmation?), do I need hubcentric rings or adapters? I just couldn't find much in the search on hubcentric rings. I have just the rims right now, going to put tires on them early next week. Thanks in advance.

Blk your wheels are agressive! You will most likely need some camber and a slight stretch to fit that on stock body. I doubt it will look good stock ride height more of a mexiflush* Your +25mm spacers will turn your +10 offset to -15 way agressive..lol

89gte you should get hub centric rings I did not have them on my last wheels and they would come loose often and I broke three studs just cruising on the highway.

Kali you need coilovers and somewhat of a wide wheel, I would say on a mkiii go with a 18x9.5+15 to +25 & 18x10+15 to +25
Then for tire like 215/40/18 & 235/40/18

They will fit stock ride height and look ok. If you want flush like my car you need lower offsets. The +35+38 should work fine though.if you got with +38 +35 offset just get fat tires like 235/40 and 255/40 stay away from those 7.5" wide wheels lol the 9.5 all around would look best.
