Wheel Fitment & Question Thread

Wide body Rx7's, G35's, 350z's and Supras can run the same sizes if you're willing to do a little pulling, so don't hesitate to look in the classifieds of other forums for wheels.

Here are wheels from my Rx7 , which are 19x11 +23 in the rear that I can now easily put on my MKIII.

For the front, 19x9.5 + 22 and up, which is a typical 350z/g35 should be fine.

My current SSR's were previously on a wide body FD Rx7.

235/40 fits with no problem, you could probably even get away with 245/40 depending on the actual tire. I had Federals on there and I've heard some people say that might run a little wider than others. I don't know, I know they fit and there's room for more tire.

just like it sounds, with a rolling tool to roll the lip or pulling it with a "puller" for more clearance.

^Simple way to explain it

In Shine's case, it was roll then pull.

One important thing to keep note if you're gonna roll or pull the fenders.

The paint on the MKIII is old, so most likely the heat gun trick won't be effective. Your paint will most likely crack like mine did. I was planning to reshoot the car anyways. However, keep in mind that with the MKIII you can paint just the quarter panels all the way to the roof or targa line and stop and the moldings. With other cars, you would probably have to reshoot the whole thing.

Would 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear fit 87 supra? Will be installing a sets of coilover very soon also. What tire height size should i go, 35, 40? Does the offset matter? Do i need to roll my fenders? Sorry i very new to this.

Just picked up some 17x8 +35 and 17x9 +25. I need some help choosing the right size tires. I do not want to roll the fenders if possible. I was thinking 225/45 and 255/40. Does that sound about right?

With a +25 on those 17x9 rears, 155 might be a little too wide, but I could be mistaken. :dunno:
