MkIII front end on a MkIV

As you can tell, I'm no color matching expert. Lighting differences would just never let the two go together well. If I had two similarly colored Supras at the same angle with the same lighting, it sure would make it easier :icon_razz

I knew I wouldnt have much luck, which is also evident in the cropping.

If I can find it, I have a pic of the MKIII front end on the MKIV. I'm sure it's likely to be a photoshop, but it looks cleanly done.

As Supracentral stated, very few things can be swapped between the two models and look decent.

It was my understanding that this car is real. If in fact it is a chop, it's well done. Notice the reflections and all suggesting it's real.

No, it was a photoshop. King Buyer is/was a hugely popular dealership in Jay-pon which takes pictures of all their cars at that same angle.

it looks better than the MkIV front on an MkIII that's for sure! Theres one here in Oz like that - looks pretty dumb. Has the MkIV spoiler and tail lights too...

Yeah, when I first saw one, long after getting into MkIIIs, I loved it. I think the MkII/MkIII is a tasteful homage to it.

Definitely a chop:

1) look at the wall in the background... obviously someone tampered with it. Why? I don't know.
2) look at the shadow under the front bumper.. too dark.

Yup, notice that the reflection on the hood does not match the wall behind it. Close, but not good enough.

I suspect the job on the wall was just to remove someone's watermark.

I've thought that too. It'd look better without the molding. I wouldve fixed it if I felt it was worth it.

Also, because I'm "ashamed" of how the 'shops came out, I'm working on something to make up for it
