So I see all of the fitment issues and explanations but does anyone know what the positive and negative are for the speakers? 86.5 it shouldn't matter as it appears that the colors haven't changed at least at the speaker connections. My car has hacked up wires and I am trying to phase them correctly. In the EWD they list them as 1 and 2 on the speakers with Toyota who knows if they thought about what those numbers meant.

Correct me if I'm mistaken Jake, but when it comes to phase, how much does it matter, so long as all speakers are on the same phase?

I got it figured out. My Drivers rear was different then the rest of the speakers. It was hooked up backwards. Speakers run on AC voltage right? if three go +-+- and one goes-+-+ then that is out of "phase" I got it worked out tomorrow I will go out to my car and post up the wire colors with how it is run in my car. On the EWD number "1" is positive "2" is negative inside the factory sound pass boxes

When it comes to speaker you want the speaker to hit down then up this increases the sounds quality in most cases

Is it easy to switch a 90+ 6in speaker pods into a pre90 with the 4in speaker pods?

Only 91/92 speakers are 6.5, not 90. But if you have the pods, they are bolt on. If you shave down the plug, it can slide in. Or you can write them directly, or just get some connectors from radio shack or something.

Yes, but it halps to have the 91/92 door panels as well, as they have larger grilles for the 6.5" speakers.

So what size are the front speakers for 91? it says 6-½" on the doors doesn't make sense lol
6.5" on 91-92 Mk3's. What about that doesn't make sense? 6.5" speakers can sound quite nice...

Sorry about the confusion on the speaker size for the 91-92 models. It is now fixed.... Dynamat is good its just that it can get pricey and then it all boils down to what kind of set up are you installing anyways..... Is it worth it? I have infinity 4" speakers on my door panels and I have yet to desire bigger speakers there or dynamat. The sound is clear, perfect mids and highs. No bass sure but I use something else for the bass as I would recommend anyone else who is looking for a little thump out their car. I'm not against all speaker systems I just dont feel like the Supra pods help much with great bass.

If your car is a 91 or 92 then this is what I would do if no subwoofer will be added.

6.5 inch in the front

3.5 in the side rears

5.25 In the rears

Infinity makes great speakers and your front speakers are going to be the most important ones in this set up. The front speakers here are components meaning that the actual speaker is a woofer that will handle all your mids and bass while the tweeter handles the highs.... This should give you good bass and great overalll sound quality...... Do it....

Amazon says it won't fit lol

Amazon aint an audio installer like I am lol..... Also no, your front speakers wont fit directly because of the tweeter... The speakers themselves will fit but the tweeters will need a different location.... I'm sure you can figure it out...
