The weight was with tire on rim. saw blades did not weight as said. But picking them both up the knock off cobras I have are lighter.

:bsflag:No way my friend. Sawblades are about 23lbs. w/o tires, and most radials come in around 20- 25lbs., depending on diameter, and width of course.

Have to go with Tom on this one...

Though, I believe a sawblade is ~22lbs IIRC.

95R wheels are about ~22lbs.

98 Cobra is ~22lbs.

99 Cobra is ~24lbs.

2K Cobra R is really really heavy! I don't remember exactly but I know I was carrying them off balance... High 20s maybe even ~30lbs.

Of coarse size is going to determine the actual weight...

Beware though there are china man versions of these rims. They are much heavier and snap like twigs if you get into an accident.

There are 2 different versions of saws. The Cobra wheels are also larger so being the same weight or a little heavier would be normal for a cast wheel.

The 95 style is the one im looking for, Those weights show my concern. Although the rear wheels (welds most likely) are going to be FAR lighter then sawblades, i still wana shed some weight from the front.

As stated it seems kinda light for a wheel with tire. Maybe a recount? Maybe weight the cobra wheel and the sawblade on the same scale to see the difference?

Anything that can be found easily, is cheap, and looks tons better than sawblades is a win in my book. Plus they sit nice and wide without sticking way out and being obnoxious.

Keep in mind that we, as car people, know they're mustang wheels. Most of the general public may think to themselves "Hey, nice rims... I've seen those before..."

But most people will probably think nothing of it. So far there's not a single car in this thread that I didn't like.

As for the MkIV rims, they're subtle, and subtle is good. If someone jacked my wheels it's because there's a $600 tire on it. In such a case, the worse a wheel looks, the better... who's going to try to steal shitty looking wheels? Stolen tires aren't worth shit, and very people know the difference anyway.

Don't want opinions then don't put your shit out there to be commented on. I don't like cross manufacture swaps. I dont like LS motors in supras. I dont like JZ's into 240 swaps. I don't like what I don't like. So what you got into a calender BFD.

iMHO You could have gotten MK4 TT rims and had a better look for the same price.

Who gives a flying monkey sofa king. Appears you think your opinion over weighs his. Not to mention being closed minded is more than a hobby for you.

My opinon.
Just about anything is better then factory saw blades apearence wise.
I support the idea after all I did put the cobra brakes on my supra.

I also support lightening the wheels up
for example my factory saws with tires weighed 47.2lbs
My new 17" WEDS weigh in at only 35.6lbs
So trimming off 11.5lbs per wheel im guessing is like taking 1-200lbs off the car body weight when calculating gearing multipliers.

Saving weight is important to me also not just looks
