This is a buddy's car with Cobra wheels. These are the aftermarket ones, not the factory. If I remember, he said they were 17x9 front and 17x10.5 rear or something like that. I love how it looked on his car:

My wheels look kinda similar to the Cobra wheels. I get a lot of people that say they look like it:

To all using cobra wheels, Are you using hub centric rings? The MK3 hubs are about a 1/4 inch smaller then the hole in the wheel.

Summit lists the R58 cobra wheels as non hub centric with a 60 degree conical lug nut. I bought the conical lug nuts but im unsure whether i trust just the studs to take all the force of the wheel without the hub.

This is the summit listing for the R58 Cobra wheels. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FMS-M-1007-R58/

Anyone have a picture or see a supra with FR500 mustang rims? Other than that post with the black supra that looks like it's going to be pushed out of the way by a train. Those look a bit different, barely.

Thanks! Actually that's great because there's a silver turbo near me I've been eyeballing but it has icky-ish looking american racing rims or something. Either way...WANT.

I like those rims...not sure if they're my favorite but sure look good compared to a lot I've seen.

Still wondering about the hub centric rings though.

Those wheels were far from a simple bolt on. It was a light fender roll in the front. But it in the rear it was a fender roll and pull. I believe it was about 7/16 it had to come out. Plus cutting inside the well and hammering. It doesn't rub at all just took a while to set it up right. Pictures dont do it justice on how flush it really is.

Thats odd because my factory saws weighed in at 47.2lbs my scale is very acurate.

Here I even weighed them again are you on another planet measuring these?
They almost seam like deisel truck wheels in weight lol.

I just weighed them again just now and look

I weighed myself on the scale first and it seemed pretty accurate compared to all other places ive ever weighed in.

It guess it could vary from difference in tire weight, the difference of 5lbs isnt that large.

Tires on those wheels are Kumho Ecsta Supra 225/50's with about half tread left.

It seems more likely to me that different brand tires just have different compositions and weigh more/less than one another.. I'm planning on changing out a tire sometime soon here on my 87, I can get a dry weight of a stock wheel on a shipping scale if anyone's interested?

Off the top of my head the fronts are plus 21 and the rears are +15~ give or take. Dont really remember, need to look on the wheel again.
