the 67.5 2000 is one of the rarest datsuns to come to america. none of the z cars would have ever came stateside if it were not for the success of the 311 in the scca.

there were only about 600 srl cars imported in 67 and only about 1500 produced at all that year.

from your picts emp it is a 67.5 so it is still one of the rarer ones. the dash has 3 switches in the center correct?

you should at least register the vin # on the 311s car regristry

yea its the 3 switch one. 67.5. I think it might be the best year cause of the windshield being shorter.
and yea i'll try to register it on 311

Never realized it was quite that rare. So basically it's Nissan's 2000GT then. What do these things sell for these days, if they're well-restored or in really good original condition?

the 67.5 2000 has been known to sell upwards of 20k... a good 67.5 1600 will bring around 15k these cars are very undervalued at the moment. i think the highest i have ever heard of a 2000 bringing in is 45k... but it had celebrity ownership, and was low a # car.

Wouldn't they all be low # cars, given the numbers imported? :p

of course restoring one of these cars is ridiculously expensive...
That is unfortunately what you run into with rare cars... Too bad too, they're really good looking.

It has been terribly cold the last few days so progress is slow on this. I removed the windshield, dash cover (going to recover it), and other small things. Did some measurements and i think my plans will work out nicely.

Oh and we got the engine out :)

So... when are you going to tell us what's going IN the car? If you say SBC, be prepared to be punched in the wiener. :p

Hey, thought I might ask, is that dash mat project dead now, or are you still working on it?

Not a big deal, I have an entire parts car to salvage from, could probably have a local upholstery shop do one if I really needed one. Go ahead and keep it, in case you ever get the itch to pick it back up again. :)
