That is a Fairlady roadster, correct? The predecessor to the Z-cars?

Well, keep us posted Emp, I've always had a spot in my heart for old school Japanese cars, they took over when America gave up trying in the early 70's. :p

Given how light they are, I'd recommend an SR16 or 20DE, the VL (I think that's what Nissan called them) were some pretty sweet little motors, right up there with the 3sge Beams engines. ;)

I also think they (and maybe you) will hate me after what im going to be doing to the car.

no they are a great group of guys. the registration issue is easily overcome... the antiregistration bot code is "Datsun Sports" you would be a welcome member of the community i have a build thread going over there... hope to make some good progress this summer on mine.

im taking the holy grail of datsuns and modifying it to the max.... so i doubt you will be the most hated...

The Roadster is the holy grail of Datsuns? Odd... I would have figured it would be the S30 240z. I guess to each their own, but I don't think they've ever topped that car, in 40 years now, they have yet to come up with better in my eyes anyway.
