It's a toyota special tool, but you can actually also use a pair of pliers.
And yes, bucket on shim is very common.
You might want to download both the mkiii and mkiv tsrm ;)
mkiii for the body part, mkiv for the engine part
Hmm, to me it looks like a manufacturing fault, not degreased properly before mounting. It shouldn't come off that clean and unbend if it was mounted properly.
just my 2ct
haha!
No, that's not entirely true, we're running different kinds of oil with different viscosity which means different flow numbers ;-)
What I meant is that good oil flow makes good lubrication, not big oil pressure.
Just on a side note:
The biggest factor in lubrication is flow not pressure.
Here's some read ups:

+2 for the 1jz destroyer club, also too high boost on pump gas...
As for oil pressure on my 1.5jz:
3.5bar @ idle cold, 2bar @ idle warm
3bar @ 3000rpm warm
6bar @ 6000rpm warm
these are averages as I only have the stock meter
As a rule of thumb the oil pressure should rise 1bar for...
Making power isn't about boost only, it's the mass of air going in the engine.
With the increased lift there is more mass of air flowing into the engine. Boost is a 'side effect' of the head being a restriction in the air flow; there's more air being pushed in then can be processed so boost is...
There’s many ways to upgrade your fuel system, this is just one of the ways to do it. This fuel set-up is to support a PT67 on a 1.5jz. For fuel (and ignition) management I use the eman blue in combination with a Blitz ecu, works nice.
Old situation: in-tank walbro, mkiv 550’s
The upgrades...
If you don't drag or are into dropped clutch starts, you can't beat a torsen diff.
As long as you keep in mind it doesn't like to be shocked with big power, but ease the power onto it, like stepping on the gas just after you get rolling it can take plenty of power.
On a track and in normal...
You will need an O2 sensor with at least two wires: signal and grounding.
Here's the O2 sensor types you can get:
1 wire: signal only, grounding through the body
2 wire: signal and grounding
3 wire: signal only, grounding through the body, heating; 2 wires
4 wire: signal and grounding and...
No problem ;-) actually it is a beige color, but looks kind of white in the pic. I don't have these colors anymore btw, look at my avatar, that's what it is now.
Thanx! :)
Valve covers are chromed, the rest is polished.
