is this a safe setup to hit 17psi in?

Should be on the rich side in open loop. I've heard the ecu can compensate + or - 50% in closed loop, so should be able to compensate from 370 to 440's while cruizin. But you'll be pushing it at the top as the 440's won't support the 58mm turbo @17psi, so expect to go lean there.

    Smoke after re-install Stock Twins

It's the gaskets, it will go away soon.

    Drive shaft lengths

It needs to be able to move in and out as the diff can move a little bit also with the suspension.

    bad starter? or wiring

Very sharp Tissimo! Yes, with the rebuild I changed some cosmetics, this is what it used to be: The camcover colour didn't turn out like I hoped and I also didn't like the blue stuff with the 6L9 green body and tan interiour, so I changed it to what it is now in my avatar. sorry for the OT...

    Smoke after re-install Stock Twins

Did you use new gaskets? They smoke a little in the beginning.

    bad starter? or wiring

like I said on SF, the relay doesn't engage, it's not the wiring, else it wouldn't spin. Try a different starter or get this one fixed/refurbished

    stupid question about R154!

Ehm, BlackMKIII, there are two inspection plates at the bottom of the bellhouse, and as most aftermarket clutches have these nice bright colours, like red and blue and stuff it's fairly easy to check if you have an oem clutch or not. So, mr tuki, if it's grey, it most likely will be the oem...

is this a safe setup to hit 17psi in?

Fuelcut is not based only on pressure. Let go of the pressure idea and start thinking in air mass. Fuelcut is based on a certain air mass, which is pressure AND air temp. Change one of the two and the air mass changes. For example: you could boost the stock twins to 18psi and not hit fuel cut...

    Need info on catch can

For how long have you been running it?

    Boost ?

Sounds like it's not hooked up right, or the Profec could be faulty, maybe the solenoid valve isn't working properly?

    exhaust smells like hell

No you won't have this problem, it's the cat which causes the smell.

    Need info on catch can

That's from contact heat, not from the temp of the gasses.

I have a 1.5jz, they're baffled as well, but even with the baffles, if you run a too big hose it will suck up more than you want to.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I guess I'll give it a try, money wise there's not much to go wrong. @fstlane88, ebay, but I'm not sure I can post the link here, they changed the rules on that didn't they? @Blade2001, it's not an engine intake, as long as you create some vacuum it works...
