ordered the polyurethane engine torque damper from BIC Performance since i was missing one. Have to change out the freeze plugs on the 7M seeing as i noticed that the one on the back of the block is all blue-ish green so i might as well change all 11 plugs. Still waiting on Samco Engine Hoses...
so true... fixing everything on a 20+ yo car is a pain, and expensive. time flies and there are always unexpected costs... oh well, its all worth it. :D
he really shoulda stopped and thought the way i did. for all the money he'd be spending to get a STOCK 1JZ working in his car, he would just spend the money on his 7M-GTE and have it running faster than a stock 1J. Then again, he woulda done that, i wouldn't have my motor. :icon_bigg
yeah, all i have is motor left (wich is almost ready to go back in)... interior and im good to go. where'd all the other stuff come from? i thought it was just drop in the motor, and get the harness to work.
as half assed as it has been done, I got on my computer, printed out a paper with a black background and silver 1J THIS lettering, cut out a bit smaller than the actual space that the lerrering would go in, and i put some tough, clear tape ontop of it to fill in the box so it would stay on and...
+1 It's a bit of a pain to wrestle with the steering wheel when in a parking lot. I haven't driven mine w/ power steering but I can't wait to be honest. Power Assist FTMFW!
I plan to, but im getting impatient. For the past 5 months I've been without a daily. Blew the head gasket on my SOHC 240SX and have just been working for the Supra. I'd love nothing more than to only bring it out when the interiors fully done and the car is complete but it seems like my next...
those are actually my stock tail lights with a black vinyl overlay i found on ebay last year. Stick on the vinyl on the back side, spray paint the sides. If you want, you can cut out the rectangle for the backup lights (obviously, i chose not to). PM sent.
Damn! Beat me to it! Yeah, if you have a/c in your supra (meaning you'll be driving it with the window's up) you dont want to relocate the battery. The battery produces toxic fumes as it recharges. Bad idea. :3d_frown:
honest opinion, you should get the shocks according to what you plan on using the car for. daily, no eating shit, kyb's.... sporty driving should be tokico's
yeah, that sounds about right. Ordered my Samco Sport Engine Water Hose set from Group A Supra. Should be getting those in december. Can't wait to get them on to test them. :naughty:
