You are right, 3.91s have a drive gear with 10 teeth and 3.73s have 11, so you can not just swap the driven gear to correct the speedo. I got my 4.10 from a Torsen and swapped in a US LSD.
I'd love to take your money, but the car was crushed over 5 years ago.
It's the perfect gear for a full weight MKIII ~550whp with raised rev limit on a 26" tire in the 1/4. I'd run it anywhere between 5-600whp. The car will trap anywhere from ~6400-6800 depending on exact weight and horsepower in 4th. If you do a lot of highway, yeah, it isn't quite as pleasant...
Bling! Do you know the price tag for a regular Joe? I wasn't expecting a new master. Does this require any machining of the front bearing cover on the R154?
That's correct. By plugging or looping this line you are no longer running coolant through the ISC and TB. It's to prevent icing in both. Unless you live in the extreme cold, you really don't need this.
Cutting the Cs is a big mistake. It's not any closer to the wheel than a stock shifter. The big issue with cutting it is you just lost all your leverage and on top of that, the fulcrum is in a different position relative to a stock shifter, making it even harder to shift, not to mention the...
I first changed to a shortened stock shifter that had a small extension welded to it with the green truck bushing. I was young and thought this was great at the time. I then switched to a JDM C's that was cut down(There are US and JDM Cs versions which are different). I only ran this shifter...
An RX7 rim is perfect for that tire, it's 16x8 and the tire is meant to be mounted on a 7"-9" rim. A stock 16x7 sawblade is actually on the small end for that tire and would cause it to bow more down the center of the tire. I wouldn't give it a second thought running it as it's designed to run...
My grey car is still on cast rebuilders pistons and toyota rods with no headwork, just a basic rebuild. I consider a car with a MHG stock still. Installing a MHG with some ARP bolts isn't a power adding thing, its just preventing a not uncommon BHG. People sell the stock long block short. My...
I used a latching relay run through the clutch safety switch. This worked perfectly because I already had that switched bypassed, so it was sitting there doing nothing until I did this. You can use a standard relay for this.
The reason you want to do this is because if you just ran through...
