it shouldn't cost much just to machine the timing cover at the same hieght or slightly lower. if you can negotiate good you might even be able to have the machine chop do it for free.
there's a torque spec and sequence for removing and installing the cams. also arp's should have a allen key on one side of the stud to screw them in. hand tight tho do not torque them in.
there is no fluid in the master when new. bench bleeds puts fluid into the master so when you attach the line there is less bleeding to do. not necessary but can help the bleeding process greatly. personal pref weather or not you want to do it but it is not a waste of time.
the e brake only holds the car from moving when stopped. how would the output shaft start spinning with the wheels no moving? the out put shaft will only spin when the tranny is in gear( not neutral) and the clutch is relased and then the wheels spin.
if you have a spare tranny put it neutral...
