^agreed. if its a knock it will be rpm dependent and happen all the time.

^k&n suck. spectra are decent for the price. apexi and aem dry flow are the best. the fact with the hot air doesnt really matter as the air is going into a 1100+* turbo and then gets cooled in a intercooler.

the year of the engine does not matter. the wiring needs to match the year of the car. the engine block does not determine weather the ecu plugs match.

why not just trade some one trannys? abs is good to have and theirs not really any weight savings from removing it.

what kind of clutch do you have? push the clutch in and see if it goes away.

ive seen k&n's mess up many cars map sensors because its a oil filter. they dont filter too good either and when the oil hit the sensor the dirt get threw and stick to the sensor causing it to go wack.

clean your isc. i had the same problems just not as bad and it was that. . also could be the dash pot. is your bov vented?

^this + get new squirter bolts so they dont open up prematurely. they open on spring pressure and if you use old bolts(the ball and spring are in the bolt) they can open way sooner than there supposed to. theres a sticky(i think) about someone testing them. if you want to do away with them...
