The alternator supplies electricity to the entire car when the engine is running. So you need to hook up all 3 wires.

Fuse would cause the clock to not be on.

DM's pump is shimmed with Teflon coated gears.

All i know is its a pre89 harness because you have yellow plugs. And the wiring between 88 and 87 should be the same.

Personally i wouldnt hack up the cars body harness. I would just get a new sensor if thats the problem. I would check the brake light sensor tho first which is attached to the pedal.

How are they going to know if you changed it? Raise it up, inspect it, lower it back down. Ive never heard of this before tho.
