It will prolly bend to a point and then snap. I would not continue to use it. If you were lifting the tranny and engine with the hoist on 1/2 your way past its limit. Should have been on 1 ton. Its a little harder since you cant get the boom out all the way but its still doable.

For our cars 1cc on a injectors is about 1hp. So if your shooting for 500hp you want about 650cc injectors because you only want to use about 80% of what the injector can flow.

Ive always just used the gasket. The water pump always only came with a gasket from the factory.

Are you 100% positive that its the motor knocking and not something you quite possibly just forgot to tighten? Motor mounts good? I would spend the 10bux on a stethescope or use a screwdriver(stethe is easier.)

They cant get pre 89 sets? They still have the key codes on file so i dont see why they couldnt. They should fit no prob with the exception of the rear lock being slightly different.
