I dont think you have the right dipstick or stick tube. Something is off. Mine is full at 5 but i always go 6.
I thik you can have something like 9 qts in the pan before the oil touches the crank but i wouldnt run it like that.
Get someone to crank the car over for you while you jiggle the cps wires and the other mess of wires right there.

No soldering needed when you get a new one. Its got o rings and clips.
The only down side to by passing it is the heater core acts like a another small rad, but you should have no problems driving around as long as everything else in your cooling system is up to par.
If you lift the car up enough you might be able to get one hand with a wrench and try to wedge it in place and then use the other hand either with a impact or ratchet with like 1-2.5 of extensions with a 14mm swivel at the end.
Thats how i did it but im small with small arms.
