Get new seals from toyota and if there is fipg in the tracks clean it off. Use something like tar strips or silicone at the corner of the front seals only to raise it up and make a tighter seal.
They have better rubber mounts. Still gel filled iirc.
Have to grind off a tab to use them on the mk3. Can also use chaser and sc rubber mounts as well.
They have buckets and shims. You check the clearance between the bucket/shim and the cam.
Id also pull off a cap and make sure the journal is smooth and not chewed up. 7m cams dont have bearings. they have a special smoothed out surface and over the years lack of maintenance they sometimes...

Curious if anyone has ran them or has any feedback on them.
They look like they should be decent for the price but there not really offered here except through like ebay and such.

If the valve clearance was out of spec the noise would be noticeable all the time.
tho anything is possible.
Are the cam caps in good order and not worn?
You know your only losing maybe 2hp max with the stock fan. That and you will never over heat with a good cooling system and motor.
Seems more worth it to keep it then try to gain 2hp that you will never feel, drag down your electrical system over load the alt and possibly catch the whole car...
