Its not even listed in the tsrm. Its sort of a common problem for them to loosen up. Its only there to soften up the oscillations in the rail. Not a super important part but no reason to delete it unless your super modified and can do without.

A/c only robs hp when its on. When its off its a idler pulley and doesnt put any drag on the engine. Only thing you will be gaining is like 20-30 lbs of weight lose.
removing the stock fan maybe 1hp. Not worth it and possibly overheating if you buy shitty e fans. Money is better spent else...
The rubber section is prolly toast after they hacked it.
I just look for a good used one. Its the same shifter for both r and w trans. Also be a good time to get the marlin crawler bushings. The one for the ball on the end and the other for the pivot.
Ya i orig had 4 screws in it. But after a while the lip didnt like the 2 by the fog lights. So i just left it with the 2 on the ends and my lip has been holding up 10x better.

Like i said stock complete setup is about 220 from champion. Maybe a little more. Should be more than enough to last a long time. Some people are even making over 350whp on stock clutches.

If you have 89 you just need to use the same motor mounts that is on there. And for the wiring there are a few cars out there that are yellow plug but most are gray. If its yellow plug get a yellow plug harness. If its gray get a 89-90 gray plug harness.

You could come up with a way top mount it in the stock locations.
I just use a self tapping screw on each end.(2) Nothing else. So when it hits on something it just bounches up instead of cracking all over. Better to have the least...
