Im still breaking in my motor so it hasnt seen more than 12psi and that was just for one pull so I cant commment on the fuel cut yet. I was using a portable wideband to tune so i tuned it and left everything alone cuz I had to give the wideband back to my buddy. At the time I pulled it off i was...
I would pick up a WB and an afpr. Then you can adjust the fuel pressure in conjunction with the VF signal, your afr's, and the the afm screw. I only see about a 0.2 to 0.4 difference in my afr's by changing nothing but the AFM screw from all the way in to all the way out. My best street tune is...
Another posibility is the afm. Mine had the exact same symptoms as you describe right before it took a complete crap on me. It would only throw the code 31 maybe one out of every five times I checked. Then got progressively worse as it went out.
Ha for that price I would get creative. Maybe just stitch a black patch with an mk3 logo or something.Idk could check around with an upholstry shop or two and get their opinion on what they could do and their prices. Worst case u pick em up and resale them as long as u havent cut them all up yet...
Yep, what they said...if you have this motor already why not just build this one on the side? If I had a spare laying around I would build the living hell out of it so when the motor you have in there now goes you have a solid one to throw in.
Sure, just video yourself taking the motor out...
I couldnt resist...had to email him..wonder if I can get him going:
Hi!
WOW 315bhp??? Please tell me more! How many of the buttons on the dash do you have to hit to hit that (is it just the big red one?) What does that kind of power even feel like, does it throw you back in your seat? It does...
Its human nature to want what we dont have right now. For us car guys, when we feel 400hp we want 500 and when we feel 500 we want 700 and so on. The guys that are successful in reaching their hp goals are the guys that are extremely patient. Look through the build threads and see how long any...
My new favorite thread!
I vote raise the boost...cheap manual boost controller is fine should be able to squeeze out around 14-15 psi without hitting fuel cut. Can always get a FCD later on and get around 18psi. Stock CT's effeciency range is between 14-20psi anyway. Then make sure to do...
:slap:
Could it be just a coincidence that you started the "safe boost level" thread the other day? The first post on that thread was you need a wideband...just pointing out what happens when we crank up the boost before we make sure the engine is up for it. So rry for your loss.
Exactly why i kept the stock oil lines no fittings to deal with and dont leak a drop...although i will admit they are more of a pain when removing and putting the turbo back on. I just try to avoid that altogether. Its a trade off i guess. If ur time is that valueable better hurry up and get...
Here's the deal, and I really honestly am trying to be constructive. "We" don't have to do anything...You need to tackle it. I specifically told you there are complete write-ups on code 51 and 52. There is LITERALLY everything you need to know AND MORE in those write-ups. Just spend the amount...
Haha maybe someday... Guess I'm just green enough to fall for it still. Keep thinking that if I can explain it just enough to spark some kind of interest they will actually want to read up on it and fix their own problem. Apparently it's easier to just keep asking the same questions over and...
Okay now your getting somewhere because all three of those codes need to be fixed before you have a CHANCE at running right!! I guarantee if u fix your knock sensor code, adjust your TPS, and replace your afm (and dont clean the new one) your car will run 100x better lol. Look in the TSRM under...
jony89- I will try my best to help you with your problem, but please create a post that sums up your symptoms. I can only help you over the internet obviously so when I post something to try and narrow down your issue, you will have to give it a try then post a thorough explaination of the...
well, since 550cc injectors and the stock afm together has been known to "work" I wouldn't think his non-start up problem has anything to do with that.
