good grief man, I find myself coming in this thread about one a day and just staring at those cam covers...they just look so aggressive! I'm like a bug in front of one of those zapper lights.
I don't think SP turbos are "cheap" but I guess I don't have any actual experience with them. But there are plenty of bolt-on turbos for the 7M that will last a long time. And I'm not talking about ebay turbos...And give Albert some time, he's a busy guy but has always replied to my PM's sooner...
I was thinking the same thing. Also, could make sure the injector wires for that cylinder aren't melting to something, but I dont know if that would do it. The loose wire thing sounds most plausible.
Grandavi- Weird that it didn't boost at all for the first two pulls. Don't know what to think about that. But inly 10lbs of boost. Maybe that turbo just needs some more haha
Glad to see you did that...No experience with O'Reilly. FYI the cams are pretty much interchangeable, the intake cam differs a small amount. I have the NA intake cam in mine. I got mine from CCH out of Florida and was very happy with it. It came set to spec with a good clean finish, and ready to...
After going to a turbo I've never understood why the average guy would spend a bunch of money to build up a NA. However, clearly you are not the average guy haha. Nice work. It will be cool to see how this all comes out for sure. Good luck!
I am making decent BPU power, and have stock suspension at the moment. Call me novice, but I honestly can't tell a difference in all this chassis flex talk with the targa on or off. Maybe it's just me, but I'll always prefer the targa just because it's nice to have in summer.
Thank you both!
Supra is sleeping and waiting for my intercooler piping and hose kit, and the new accordian hose to arrive. Then I'm going to install those, take the throttle body/ISCV off and clean everything and calibrate the TPS all at once. I did get new plugs and re-gapped them in the...
I will do those things. Ive already tested dashpot. But Ill go back and do it in that order soon. Right now, I have the tb bypass about halfway out. I got the wideband on it, and my car seems like no matter what im doing with the afpr (fuel pressure), or the AFM screw I end up with 16.7 idles...
Hells yeah. Car was running pretty good til that damn hose split on me! That was fun tho...wish I had more time to cruise but (Arnood voice) Ill be back! Btw your car is prettier in person than i remember lol
